Gigi Giobbi

EKKSTACY

My name is Gigi Giobbi (she/her), and I am a 21-year-old drummer who was born, raised, and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York City.

I have been playing the drums for approximately seven years. During my high school years, I completed the International Baccalaureate higher level music program, and after graduation, I pursued a year of Jazz Drums at The New School of Jazz. Towards the end of the academic year, I was presented with the opportunity to tour with EKKSTACY, which led me to leave school. I continued to tour with him for nearly two years.

Along with my love for music and the drums, I am also extremely proud to be representing queer women in the industry. We are few and far between and so many talented women have taught me invaluable lessons and confidence, and I hope to use my journey to do the same. I've been lucky enough to study under Allison Miller, who has changed the way I go about playing the drums entirely.

During my time touring within the past couple years, I successfully completed two full headline tours across Canada and the United States, three headline tours in Europe and the UK, a tour across Australia and New Zealand, as well as numerous one-off festivals and shows. Regarding supporting acts, I went on a two week tour as direct support for Bakar, performed at three stadium shows opening for Blink-182 alongside Pierce the Veil, and joined a two-month tour with the $uicideboy$. I have contributed to two EKKSTACY tracks, "Mr. Mole" and an unreleased song titled "Circles." My appearances with him include features on Vevo, KEXP, and the "She Will Be Missed" music video.

As of 2025 I have joined Been Stellar as a permanent member, and will be touring, writing, and recording with them as a band going forward. I'm so lucky to have Dream Cymbals alongside me as I start this new chapter of my career and I'm very much looking forward to the future!
